Tangshan city in China’s Hebei province is planning to impose tighter restrictions on local steelmakers’ production during 12:00 on September 11 to 12:00 on September 15 to ensure good air quality.

The northern plant of Tangsteel and Tangyin Steel could reserve one sintering machine to produce. Other steelmakers will be required to cut sintering capacity by 50 percent.

The transportation vehicles of steelmakers will reduce by 50 percent, with out-of-factory vehicles being forbidden to exceed the limit and overload, and strictly implementing body wash requirements of vehicles.

Coking plants should halt wet coke quenching and implement dry quenching.
