Taiwan’s basic metal export orders down 11.4 percent in H1

According to the statistics released by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, in June this year Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $1.99 billion, down 2.7 percent compared to June last year and rising by 2.8 percent compared to the previous month. In May, Taiwan’s basic metal and basic metal product orders had recorded a 2.6 percent rise month on month. 
 
In the first half of the current year, the country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders declined by 11.4 percent year on year to $11.08 billion.
