Pangang Group International Trade Co., a subsidiary of Sichuan Province-based Panzhihua Iron and Steel (Pangang Group), has announced that its subsidiary in Kunming in China's Yunnan Province sold over 70,000 mt of steel products in May of the current year, constituting an all-time record monthly sales volume. Meanwhile, in the first five months of the current year the Kunming subsidiary sold over 234,000 mt of steel products, up 66 percent year on year.
In March this year, Pangang Group International Trade Co.'s Kunming subsidiary sold 50,807 mt of steel products, which was also a record monthly volume. In the first quarter of the current year, it sold 118,000 mt of steel products, up 42 percent year on year.
