Southern China to see more imported products

New batches of imported steel products may cause a temporary softening in southern markets. Huangpu Port in southern China's Guangdong province will see the arrival of 37'068 tons imported steel products by the weekend. The port has already seen the arrival of 34'037 tons of imported steel products since Sunday (September 11). The port has imported 24'000 tons of general steel products from Russia, 8'487 tons from Japan, as well 1'550 tons of coils from Vietnam. Another 3'031 tons of coil will arrive at the port by the weekend (September 16-17). The new batch of products will be marketed mainly in Guangzhou, therefore the prices of certain flat steel varieties may see some softening in this market next week.
