Germany-based plantmaker SMS Group has announced that its Indian joint venture company Esmech Equipment Pvt. Ltd will supply a second twin-stand reversing cold mill for the new cold rolling mill complex of Vietnam-based Hoa Sen Group, located in Vinh, Vietnam.
The second twin-stand reversing cold mill, scheduled to start production by the end of this year, will be designed for rolling low carbon steel at an annual capacity of 350,000 mt.
Beside the first twin-stand reversing cold mill in the new cold rolling mill complex in Vinh, which is scheduled to go on stream by the middle of the current year, Hoa Sen has already been operating a reversing cold mill supplied by Esmech Equipment at its Phu My location in south Vietnam since 2015.
