Saldanha Steel Mill closed for three weeks

Recent market news reports that, South African steel maker Iscor's Saldanha Steel Mills is closed for three weeks due to maintenance after the fire at the blast furnace that took place on May 18. The company will conduct an investigation for the damage caused by the fire. It is stated that to avoid from delivery delays, Iscor's Vanderbijlpark plant will meet priority orders. Company officials state that, three week's closure will cost company loss of 62'000 tons of hot rolled coil production.
