Sabic signs agreements to build steel plants in Saudi Arabia

According to recent news in the market, Sabic Metals has signed four agreements to build flat steel production plants in Saudi Arabia. With these agreements, Sabic Metals' long and flat steel production capacity will increase to 5.5 million metric tons. Currently, the company produces 3.9 million metric tons of long and flat steel products per annum. The four agreements have been signed with Sabic Voestalpine, a consortium including Austrian Voestalpine and Matrix Technologies, a consortium including Saudi Voestalpine and Saudi Siemens and a consortium including Saudi Voestalpine and Siemens Germany.
