South Korea's steel plate inventories rose around 29,000 tons month on month in February due to the stagnation in construction industry and increasing imports. South Korea Iron & Steel Association (KISA) disclosed that the country's domestic steel plate inventories rose to 1.03 million tons in February. Steel plate imports rose from 714,000 tons in January to 798,000 tons in February. KISA expects steel plate inventories to decline in April-May due to the seasonal boom in construction industry.
