Roanoke continues quarterly dividend streak

Virginia-based Roanoke Electric Steel Corporation (RESC) today (April 20) announced that its Board of Directors had decided to declare a cash dividend for the first quarter of 2005. The 11-cent-per-share dividend marks the 186th consecutive quarter that RESC has paid a dividend to its shareholders. The dividend is payable on May 25, 2005, to shareholders of record as of the close of business on May 6, 2005. RESC has steel manufacturing facilities in Roanoke, Virginia, and Huntington, West Virginia. The company produces angles, rounds, flats, channels, beams, special sections and billets. Four subsidiaries are involved in various steel-related activities, consisting of scrap processing and bar joist and truck trailer beam fabrication. RESC's customers include steel service centers, fabricators, original equipment manufacturers and other steel producers.
