RMB 196.3 billion to be spent on 12 high-speed road projects in Sichuan in 2019

Investments totaling RMB 196.3 billion ($28.6 billion) which are planned to be spent on twelve high-speed road projects with total mileage of 1273 kilometers in Sichuan Province in 2019 have gained approval from related authorities, as reported by local media in Sichuan Province.

Meanwhile, in the January-June period of the year, the fixed asset investment (FAI) in roads and waterways in Sichuan Province totaled RMB 76 billion ($11.1 billion), accounting for 54.3 percent of its yearly planned FAI.

In 2019, fixed asset investment (FAI) in roads and waterways in Sichuan Province is expected to reach RMB 140 billion ($20.4 billion).
