RMB 13.84 billion to be invested in new cross-sea channel in Guangzhou

The engineering survey and design contract for the Huangmaohai cross-sea channel in Guangzhou has been signed, as announced by Guangdong Communications Group Co. Ltd. on August 8, with construction due to start in the first half of 2020.

The Huangmaohai cross-sea channel starts at Gaolan port in Zhuhai city in Guangdong Province and ends in the town of Doushan, Taishan city, in Guangdong Province, with a total length of 30 kilometers and with a total planned investment of RMB 13.84 billion ($2.0 billion).

The channel in question will further strengthen the joint development of Zhuhai Hengqin free trade zone, Gaolan port and the Jiangmen Daguang gulf economic zone.
