According to the reports, the new export policy may be implemented as of January 01, 2008. The government is expected to remove all the remaining VAT rebates for exports of certain steel products, and also to increase the existing export tariffs further by around five percent.

The details of the new export policy are currently being discussed by the relevant government bodies. SteelOrbis will continue to closely track developments relating to this issue with its timely reports.
