Rejection rate of Indian iron ore imports at Jiangsu port hits 36% in Jan-Apr

According to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, in the first four months of the current year 36.13 percent of Indian iron ore imports at Zhangjiagang port in China's Jiangsu Province have failed to meet the required standards as specified in import contracts.
 
In the first quarter of this year, China imported 177 million mt of iron ore, up 14.4 percent year on year, of which 26.5 million mt were imported from India, down 20 percent year on year.
