Qingdao Iron and Steel posts positive output results for Q 1

In the first quarter of this year Shangdong Province-based Chinese steel producer Qingdao Iron and Steel produced 1.187286 million mt of agglomerate, 837,148 mt of pig iron, 808,988 mt of crude steel and 838,586 mt of finished steel (including 633,899 mt of high-tech and high value-added steel), increasing by 5.60 percent, 18.66 percent, 16.88 percent and 22.70 percent year on year respectively.

Qingdao Iron and Steel has been focusing its attention on the high-end market since the beginning of 2010, adjusting its product structure and raising the level of product quality.
