Privatization board approves Erdemir's block sale

Turkey's Privatization Higher Board approved the 49.3 percent block sale of Erdemir to OYAK, the Turkish Armed Forces Pension Fund. In line with a notice released in the Official Gazette today, the board approved the 49.3 percent block sale of Erdemir to OYAK for $2.96 billion. The share transfer agreement is expected to be signed within 45 days.
