South Korean steelmaker POSCO has told its customers that its ex-works steel prices will increase from April 29, with the price of steel slabs up by $110/mt and prices of other steel products all up by $146/mt.
Accordingly, after the adjustment POSCO's base ex-works price of hot rolled coil will reach $970/mt, while its base ex-works price of cold rolled coil will rise to $1,080/mt.
However, traders have commented that it will be difficult for users to accept the price increases, and in this event POSCO could give discounts.
