POSCO to hike stainless steel prices

South Korean steel giant POSCO is planning to increase its prices due to rising raw material costs. The price increases will be effective for orders as October 27, 2004. According to the new price adjustments, the price of 300 series hot rolled stainless steel will be increased by 5.7% to Won 2.8 million ( approx. $2'447) per ton, while 400 series material will be hiked by 5.4% to Won 1.4 million (approx. $1'223) per ton.
