POSCO SuZhou starts operating

According to the latest news, POSCO SuZhou Co Ltd, a division of South Korean steel giant POSCO, has started operations in Kunshan as the largest automotive steel sheet processing facility in China. The construction of the facility commenced in August 2003 and it is planned to be completed by April 2004, as previously reported by SteelOrbis. POSCO is expected to invest total $20 million for the facility, which will have an annual capacity of 200'000 tons. Unlike other coil centers, which use simple processing methods, this new facility will supply various kinds and sizes of steel sheet.
