Permanent shut down of ASW mills

It has just been announced by the administrative receivers (KPMG) that the two mills of ASW at Cardiff and Sheerness will close permanently on 31 July 2002 and that all staff will be made redundant. Efforts have been made by the receivers to sell ASW as a going concern however now that it appears the plans are more concentrated on selling the plant and machinery.
