Panzhihua New Steel & Vanadium Company Limited announced its Q1 2008 ex-factory prices on December 29, 2007.
The producer's HR price increased RMB 200-250/mt ($27-34/mt). As a result, the new price of 3.0 mm thick Q235 HRC is RMB 3,930/mt ($539/mt), while that of 5.5 mm thick Q235 HRC is RMB 3,780/mt ($519/mt).
The price of CR went up by RMB 150/mt ($21/mt). Thus, the new price of 1.0 mm thick ST12 CRC is RMB 4,450/mt ($610/mt).
The HDG price rose by RMB 100/mt ($14/mt). After the adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm thick JY [140-180g/m2] HDG is RMB 5,020/mt ($689/mt).
The price of pickled and oiled hot rolled coil increased RMB 200/mt ($27/mt). As a result, the new price of 3.0 mm thick SPHC pickled steel coil is RMB 4,330/mt ($594/mt).
The above prices exclude taxes and are effective as of January 1, 2008.
