Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports up 9.87% in Dec from Nov

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 419,994 mt in December last year, increasing by 9.87 percent compared to November and up 1.07 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in December was $130.5 million, increasing by 11.16 percent month on month and up 7.83 year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in December amounted to 243,789 mt, down 20.99 percent on year-on-year basis and rising by 13.57 percent compared to the previous month. In December last year, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $156.76 million, falling by 20.02 percent year on year and down by 12.05 percent month on month.
