Pakistan's iron and steel imports down 27.68 percent in Jan

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 119,844 mt in January this year, decreasing 11.17 percent compared to December and down 24.28 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistic (PFBS). The value of these imports in January was $51.17 million, decreasing by 8.93 percent month on month and down 13.10 year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in January amounted to 148,945 mt, increasing by 21.64 percent on month-on-month basis and down 27.68 percent year on year. In the period in question, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $122.96 million, increasing by 22.82 percent on month-on-month basis and down 21.12 percent year on year.
