Oregon Steel to idle Napa mill

Oregon Steel Mills (OSM) located in Portland has recently announced that it will idle its pipe mill located in Napa, California (Napa Mill) at the end of June and lay of 230 workers at the mill. According to the plan of Oregon, the production at the mill will be halted on June 28 and the processes at the mill will be completed in July. The company will pay employees $1 million as employee severance benefits. Meanwhile, Oregon Steel updates its second quarter net income to $1.00-1.20 per share.
