As a result of the upgrade, OMK is planning to achieve an increase in its annual production capacity of small and medium diameter pipes used in oil and gas industries. The projected increases involve boosting production at Vyksa's pipe workshop-3 from 321,500 mt in 2006 to 450,000 mt by 2009, and at pipe workshop-5 from 285,000 mt manufactured in 2006 to 400,000 mt.
OMK invests in Vyksa's pipe production
The Russian pipe producer United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has announced that it will invest about Ruble 2.5 billion ($98.2 million) in the modernization of small and medium diameter pipe production sites at its subsidiary Vyksa Steel Works (Vyksa) during the 2007-2009 year period.
