Ohio-based steel container producer expands operations to China

Delta Companies Group (Delta), a subsidiary of Greif Inc. (Greif), Ohio-based industrial packaging producer including steel containers, has initiated construction of a multi-client packaging service complex in Shanghai, China near the Shanghai Chemical Industrial Park (SCIP).

A press release by the company, which entered the Chinese market through this initiative, said that when completed, the complex will provide blending and logistical services; packaging products including pails, drums and totes; and warehousing for global customers with operations in SCIP and the surrounding area.

Greif with operations in more than 45 countries produces steel, plastic, fibre, corrugated and multi-wall containers for a wide range of industries such as producers of oil-based and specialty chemical products.
