The new mill has an annual capacity of 380,000 short tons of straight rebars from 12.7 mm to 35.8 mm and spooled bars and it provides energy-saving and environmentally-friendly melting, casting and rolling processes.

Danieli also said that it is building another mini-mill for Nucor in Frostproof, Florida.

Nucor expects to expand its market in new strategic areas in the US following the launch of its Sedalia mini-mill.
