Nucor Corporation objects WTO ruling

Nucor Corporation, which is the largest steel producer in the United States, has announced that it objects World Trade Organization (WTO) Appellate Body's ruling regarding illegality of US trade laws. The officials of Nucor stated that S201 safeguard measures hold great importance for steel industry in US as well as other related industries and expressed that they back up S201 safeguard measures with the assertion that the measures protect domestic producers from illegal trading actions. US Trade Representative stated that, the Steel Safeguard Program is consistent with WTO's Safeguard Agreement, which is confirmed by WTO members. However, WTO Appellate Body has ruled against every safeguard measures. Upon this ruling, Nucor officials claimed that WTO is being inconsistent.
