In the January-June period this year, non-financial foreign direct investment (FDI) by Chinese companies in the countries of the One Belt, One Road area totaled $6.8 billion, down 8.1 percent year on year, accounting for 12.6 percent of the overall FDI made by Chinese companies, as announced by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC).
In particular, the investments in question were made primarily in Singapore, Vietnam, Laos, UAE, Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Cambodia.
