Non-financial FDI by Chinese companies up 18.7 percent in January-June

In the January-June period of the current year, non-financial foreign direct investment (FDI) by Chinese companies totaled $57.18 billion, up 18.7 percent year on year, as announced by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC).

In the given year, contracts for foreign projects signed by Chinese companies were worth a total value of $72.76 billion, up 8.1 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the January-June period this year, Chinese companies made new investments worth a total of $7.4 billion in the 55 countries of the One Belt, One Road area, up 12.0 percent year on year.
