In January of the current year, non-financial foreign direct investment (FDI) by Chinese companies totaled $10.8 billion, up 39.7 percent year on year, as announced by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC).
In the given year, contracts for foreign projects signed by Chinese companies were worth a total value of $10.38 billion, up 26.7 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in January, Chinese companies made new investments worth a total of $1.23 billion in the 46 countries of the One Belt, One Road area, up 50 percent year on year, accounting for 11.4 percent of the total investment in the given period.
