New Zealand’s trade deficit revised to $499 million

New Zealand's December trade deficit was revised up to $499 million from a provisional estimate of $493 million. The trade deficit for 2004 as a whole amounted to $4.18 billion Exports in December rose to $2.55 billion from $2.29 billion while imports climbed to $3.05 billion from $2.81 billion. For 2004, exports were up to $30.73 billion from $28.4 billion and imports soared to $34.91 billion from $31.78 billion.
