A new steel mill may be built in Ukraine, Ukrainian sources reported last week.

According to the reports, Ukrainian steel trader Imperial Holdings Group, which specializes in the export of Ukrainian steel to Asia and the Balkans, is planning to start the construction of a new mini-mill in Kirovograd as early as in June of the current year. The new mill will have a designed annual production capacity of 500,000 metric tons of billets. The amount of the investment is estimated at $100 million.
