The purchasing managers' index (PMI) for China’s manufacturing sector was at 52.4 percent in September of the current year, up 0.7 percentage points compared to August, according to China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
In the given month, the production index for China's manufacturing sector was up 0.6 percentage points month on month to 54.7 percent, while the new order index for the sector increased by 1.7 percentage points compared to the previous month to 54.8 percent.
The raw material inventory index for China's manufacturing sector was at 48.9 percent in September, up 0.6 percentage points compared to the previous month.
Also in September, the employment index for China's manufacturing sector stood at 49.0 percent, down 0.1 percentage point, while the supplier delivery time index for the sector in question was at 49.3 percent, remaining stable month on month.
