MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 1.2 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (July 10-16) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 1.2 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of hot rolled strip, hot rolled sheet, common steel plate, and high-speed wire rod in China rose by 2.2 percent, 1.8 percent, 1.5 percent and 1.4 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China moved up by 0.5 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) increased by 1.4 percent compared to the previous week.

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China rose by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, prices of anthracite coal declined by 0.1 percent, prices of coking coal increased by 0.7 percent, while thermal coal prices remained unchanged, all week on week.
