China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (August 20-26) the overall average finished steel price in China edged up by 1.1 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar and steel round bar in China respectively increased by 1.4 percent, 1.4 percent and 1.1 percent week on week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China declined by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of thermal coal moved down by 0.2 percent, while the prices of coking coal and anthracite coal remained stable, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged up by 1.3 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni > = 99.2%) increased by 1.9 percent compared to the previous week.
