MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.4 percent

On December 29, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (December 21-27) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.4 percent week on week.
 
In the given week, average prices of hot rolled coil (HRC), rebar and high-speed wire rod  in China rose by 1.5 percent, 0.5 percent and 0.4 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 1.9 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) decreased by 0.1 percent compared to the previous week.

In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China declined by 0.2 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of coking coal, thermal coal and anthracite coal decreased by 0.3 percent, 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent week on week, respectively.
