MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.3 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (April 29-May 5) the overall average finished steel price in China rose by 0.3 percent week on week.  

In the given week, average prices of steel channel, rebar, high-speed wire rod and hot rolled steel strip moved up by 0.3 percent, 0.3 percent, 0.2 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, week on week.  

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China moved sideways week on week. In particular, the prices of both coking coal and thermal coal remained stable, while the price of anthracite coal moved up by 0.2 percent, week on week.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China indicated slight fluctuations.
