China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (December 17-23) the overall average finished steel price in China edged up by 0.2 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of hot rolled steel strip, steel channel, rebar and high-speed wire rod in China increased by 0.5 percent, 0.4 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively, week on week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China declined by 0.3 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of coking coal, thermal coal and anthracite coal edged down by 0.1 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China softened by 0.6 percent week on week.
