MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.2 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (January 22-28) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.2 percent week on week.  

In the given week, average prices of hot rolled steel strip, steel channel, high-speed wire rod and rebar in China respectively increased by 0.5 percent, 0.5 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.3 percent, week on week. 

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged up by 0.5 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) increased by 5.7 percent compared to the previous week. 

In the week in question, the average prices of coal in China rose by 0.5 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of anthracite coal, thermal coal and coking coal increased by 0.8 percent, 0.5 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively, week on week.
