MOC: Average finished steel price in China softens slightly

On August 19, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (August 11-17) the overall average finished steel price in China declined by 0.2 percent week on week.

In the given week, the average prices of I-section steel and common round bar in China decreased by 0.4 percent and 0.3 percent week on week, respectively.

In the given week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 1.2 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) rose by 0.9 percent week on week.

In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China remained stable compared to last week. The average prices of brown coal, bituminous coal and anthracite coal were unchanged week on week.
