On November 19, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (Nov. 11-18), the overall average finished steel price in China indicated a slight decrease of 0.1 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of 3 mm common hot rolled sheet, 16 mm diameter common round bar and 12 mm diameter rebar were down 0.3 percent, 0.1 percent and 0.1 percent respectively, all week on week.
In the week ending November 18, prices of minerals in China were down 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of copper ore, zinc ore and lead ore were down 1.0 percent, 1.0 percent and 0.8 percent week on week, respectively, while the average prices of iron ore and tungsten ore remained unchanged.
In addition, average prices of energy in China in the given week were up 0.1 percent week on week. The average prices of raw coal and metallurgical coke were up 1.5 percent and 1.1 percent, while the average price of crude oil was down 1.6 percent, all on week-on-week basis.
