MOC: Average finished steel price in China slips last week

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (August 5-11) the overall average finished steel price in China edged down slightly on week-on-week basis.

In the given week, the average prices of rebar, high-speed wire rod and hot rolled steel strip moved down by 1.2 percent, 1.1 percent and 0.6 percent, respectively, week on week.

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China moved down slightly. In particular, the price of thermal coal, anthracite coal and coking coal moved down by 0.9 percent, 0.4 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively, when compared to the previous week.
