MOC: Average finished steel price in China remains stable

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (Nov. 18- 24) the overall average finished steel price in China remained stable week on week.
 
In the given week, average prices of 12 mm diameter rebar and 6.5 mm diameter high-speed wire rod were up 0.1 percent week on week, while the average prices of 1 mm common cold rolled sheet and 10 mm common medium plate decreased by 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent respectively, week on week.
 
In the week ending November 24, prices of minerals in China increased 1.6 percent compared to the previous week. In particular, the average price of iron ore was up 1.9 percent week on week.In the given week, the average price of non-ferrous metals was down 0.3 percent compared to the previous week. In particular, the average price of nickel (>=99.2%) was down 1.5 percent week on week.
 
In addition, average prices of energy in China were up 0.8 percent week on week. The average prices of brown coal, bituminous coal and anthracite coal were up by 2.8 percent, 1.5 percent and 1.2 percent respectively, all week on week.
