China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (February 19-25) the overall average finished steel price in China remained unchanged week on week.
In the given week, average prices of cold rolled common steel sheet, hot dip galvanized steel and high-speed wire rod in China respectively decreased by 0.5 percent, 0.4 percent and 0.2 percent, while average prices of hot rolled steel strip and steel channel in China respectively increased by 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged up by 0.2 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) increased by 0.8 percent compared to the previous week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China rose by 0.5 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of anthracite coal, thermal coal and coking coal increased by 0.2 percent, 0.6 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively, week on week.
