MOC: Average finished steel price in China remains stable

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (January 29-February 4) the overall average finished steel price in China remained unchanged week on week.  

In the given week, average prices of hot rolled steel strip, steel channel and common steel round bar in China respectively increased by 0.3 percent, 0.1 percent and 0.1 percent, week on week. 

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged down by 0.7 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) decreased by 1.0 percent compared to the previous week. 

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China rose by 0.5 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of anthracite coal, thermal coal and coking coal increased by 0.2 percent, 0.6 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively, week on week.
