MOC: Average finished steel price in China down 0.9 percent

On December 15, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (December 7-14) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 0.9 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of I-beam and channels in China declined by 1.2 percent and 1.1 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 0.4 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) decreased by 1.2 percent compared to the previous week.

In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China remained stable week on week. In particular, the average price of anthracite coal rose by 0.5 percent, while the average prices of coking coal and thermal coal both declined by 0.2 percent week on week.
