On December 24, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (December 15-21) the overall average finished steel price in China declined by 0.6 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod and rebar declined by 1.0 percent and 0.8 percent week on week, respectively.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 1.7 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) decreased by 4.1 percent week on week.
In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China rose by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the average price of thermal coal increased by 0.2 percent, the price of anthracite coal remained unchanged, while coking coal prices declined by 0.2 percent, respectively, all week on week.
