MOC: Average finished steel price in China down 0.5 percent

On January 6, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (December 29, 2014-January 5, 2015) the overall average finished steel price in China declined by 0.5 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of welded pipe and steel channel in China declined by 1.3 percent and 0.8 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 0.3 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) increased by 0.8 percent week on week.

In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China remained stable week on week. In particular, the average prices of coking coal and thermal coal remained unchanged, while anthracite coal prices declined by 0.1 percent, all week on week.
