MOC: Average finished steel price in China down 0.5 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (December 24-30 2018) the overall average finished steel price in China edged down by 0.5 percent week on week.  

In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar, steel channel and hot rolled steel strip in China decreased by 0.6 percent, 0.5 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, week on week.  

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China edged down by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the price of coking coal rose by 0.4 percent, while the prices of thermal coal and anthracite coal edged down by 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively, week on week.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China rose by 0.1 percent week on week.
