The Russian steel producer Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has announced that it has stopped its blast furnace (BF) No.10 in order to carry out reconstruction work.

During the reconstruction process, which is in line with MMK's plans to improve the economical-technical index of the BF workshop, the existing BF No.10 charging devices will be replaced with a cone-free charging device, produced by Luxembourg-based engineering company Paul Wurth.

The reconstruction is scheduled to be completed within 56 days
